Kick Ass - Saw "Kick Ass" on Monday night and it was a blast. Sure it had a lot of what you expect from a teen-oriented movie, but it's a much smarter picture than that. But mostly it had an 11 year superhero, Hit Girl, who kicked ass without taking names at all. When I grow up, I want to be like Hit Girl. There are many great moments where it is demonstrated to our hero, Kick Ass, why he shouldn't be a superhero, and one truly brilliant shiny moment where he shouts out why he should be. You can analyze this movie if you want to, but you don't have to. Sit back and enjoy it. It's a big ball-o-fun.

How To Train Your Dragon - Saw this one a couple weeks ago. Another movie that is nothing but pure fun. If you didn't love (or even like) this movie then you are the definition of curmudgeon.

Hey everyone/anyone... anybody? Monkeysbum lives again. It seems that a year or two ago I wasn't paying too much attention to my domain and it slipped through my fingers only to fall prey to unscrupulous domain poachers. I hate to think what unsavory things they did to the monkey - I guess it's best not to.

This time I'm trying a different approach. Instead of buying some hosting, or trying to host on my own box, I'm going the sensible route and using blogger. Free space, plenty-o-tools. What's not to love.

So enough of this obligatory opening post. The egg has been cracked, the sanctum breached, the monkey bummed. Perhaps we should pretend I didn't say that last one. Let the future commence.
